Base Coats By Yamashta-daootm6 by Ulfrheim

Base coat color determines the color of your Felvargs foundation. The chosen base coat color must reflect against your official genotype.

Specialty Coats V1 By Yamashta-daoosa5 by Ulfrheim
Specialty base colors are hereditary and can only be obtained by breeding with specific Felvargs who carry the coat mutation. Specialty base coats are a spin off/mutation of a usual coat color and are extremely rare.

Specialtyb By Yamashta-daoqq4y by Ulfrheim Dusk Silver - (DSs) [Obtain? Breed DSs to Ss/SS/DSs.]
Specialtyb By Yamashta-daoqq4y by Ulfrheim Fawn Cream - (FCr) [Obtain? Breed FCr to Cr/CR/FCr.]

Specialtyb By Yamashta-daoqq4y by Ulfrheim Midnight Black - (MBk) [Obtain? Breed MBk to Bk/BK/MBk.]

BASE COAT MODIFIERS

Base coat modifiers work a lot like usual base coat colors, however they alter the base coat color swatch to portray different mutations. Base coat modifiers are uncommon.

Uncommonb By Yamashta-daok460 by Ulfrheim ASHEN - (Ash active) (ASH dominant)
Uncommonb By Yamashta-daok460 by Ulfrheim DILUTE - (Lu active) (LU dominant)

Obtaining both Ashen and Dilute on the same genostring creates a mutated base coat modifier. This mutated modifier is known as Helix.

Specialtyb By Yamashta-daoqq4y by Ulfrheim HELIX - (Hel active) (HEL dominant)

Base Modifier: Ashen / Dilute by TheNook

Expressions By Yamashta-daoos8x by Ulfrheim

Expressionsb By Yamashta-daoosdu by Ulfrheim Flesh, Eyes & Claws - "Guide"

While you are designing your Felvarg, you are allowed to choose eye, flesh, and claw color independently. Although the colors you pick must still be reasonably natural, you have a wide range of options to choose from. This guide outlines all the possible combinations, and what is and is not acceptable color wise.

Expression: Flesh by TheNook
Expression: Eyes by TheNook

CLAWS

Claws may be any shade of flesh color, white, offwhite, black or grey. Please also be mindful that if you choose a color that seems unnatural (such as black with a deep shade of red) the design nook admins will send you to corrections. Keep things subtle and natural and reflect on your chosen flesh color to guide you towards a healthy claw color choice.

Mutation By Yamashta-daok46l by Ulfrheim

Mutations are extremely rare marking/ modifiers, each mutation will have its own effects, these effects will be broken down in detail in each respected guide. Mutations are exceptionally rare and are not hereditary, this means obtaining one is purely luck of the draw.

Mutationb By Yamashta-daok544 by Ulfrheim Chimera | Guide

Chimera is a genetic mutation that causes two genotypes to present in the same Felvarg.

Mutationb By Yamashta-daok544 by Ulfrheim Albinism | Guide

Albinism causes the entire coat to take on a soft white hue, shielding all markings. Allows the Felvarg to have true red/pink eyes.

Mutationb By Yamashta-daok544 by Ulfrheim Cross | Guide

Cross mixes black and its crossed color together creating a very unique base coat shield. While cross covers most all markings some can show above it however it is optional to do so.

Cross Swatches (Click)

Mutationb By Yamashta-daok544 by Ulfrheim Melanism | Guide

Melanism causes the entire coat to take on thick black coat, shielding all markings. (Optional few show through!)

Mutationb By Yamashta-daok544 by Ulfrheim Leucistic | Guide

An extremely rare genetic mutation that causes the entire coat to take on soft creamy hues, altering the color of all markings to an off white/brown shade.

Mutationb By Yamashta-daok544 by Ulfrheim Defiance | Guide

An extremely rare genetic mutation that allows markings to show above the given mutation.

WHAT COVERS WHAT?

Each marking available interacts with other markings differently, most importantly each marking can often appear above or below other markings. We have included a list of markings below, this list will clearly state which marking appears above or below each marking. Please read each category to better understand how markings work with one another.

Please note** Some markings, when crossed with others can create a different visual marking. We advise you check each guide to any markings present in your genotype!

Markings in this category cover all markings below it.

Hi!
Are fur texture brushes allowed when drawing markings like pinstripes? Or would the stripes need to have a more defined/solid edge to them?

I can't access/open the files on my iPad. Am I able to get a sta.sh link with the standard lines and background?

In base coats, the 1st color gradient bar is only for inactive geno and the bottom bar is for active and dominant?

Nope! Both bars per color can be used freely, no links to dominance. I hope that makes sense?

if pinto is present can heterochromia happen? Or do you need an eye mutation kit?

You would need Eye Mutation for that! Only one marking allows edits on eye and that would be Mosaic!

I cannot for the life of me find where to submit my felvarg? I recently adopted a geno and designed it, but I'm not sure where to submit it?

This is probably the wrong place to ask, but I am indeed very bad in finding the right places for stuff pfft...

Two different markings that touch each other,
are they allowed to have the same color or do
they have to be a different color so you see they are different markings?

Hey there,

Two markings that touch can be the same color so long as they are still easily identifiable as two different markings. If together as the same color, they obstruct the markings they would need to be two different colors. Sorry for the late response, next time if you have a design question the nook admins will see it straight away if you comment on the approvals journal, there is a comment section specifically for questions.
